Many teens and college students show an interest in living healthier but may rely on friends and social media for advice, and this isn’t the way to develop healthy lifelong habits. My Approach...

I’ve been helping people improve their lives with better nutrition and exercise habits for over 20 years. Using motivational and goal-setting techniques, I work with you to find healthier behaviors to incorporate into your daily routine, as this is truly the only way to make lasting changes that positively impact your health.

Our first session is organized into two parts. The first part is focused on learning about YOU. We will go through your diet and exercise histories and I will gain an understanding of your home and work routines. Additionally, we will discuss any past dietary and exercise successes you’ve had as well as any struggles you may be experiencing. This helps me craft your customized nutrition and fitness plans.

The second part of the initial session is spent discussing your health goals and vision for where you want to be. Whether your goals include weight loss, disease management, sports performance, or just wanting to live a healthier life, you need a vision and a plan. This is where we begin to map out your plan for a leaner, healthier, stronger, or faster YOU!

After the first session, I create your custom-tailored nutrition and exercise programs based on our in-depth conversation. I typically have your individualized program ready for you 36-48 hours after our first meeting.

Follow-ups then occur every two to four weeks after the initial session. During follow-up sessions, adjustments to your nutrition and exercise programs are discussed, keeping you moving toward your goals. Goal review and continued goal setting remain a strong part of these sessions as I firmly believe a client-driven approach is a key to achieving success.

Follow-up plans range from weekly to monthly and all plans include unlimited messaging support, food log review, and use of the full suite of tools available in the Practice Better client app.
